SAGE provided landscape architectural services for a new 71,409 s.f. facility for the National Park Service in the Tucson Commerce Park in Rio Nuevo in downtown Tucson. The facility provides storage of valuable artifacts currently not being used for research or displayed, as well as office space for the National Park Service personnel.

The site is located on a landfill, which required remediation and a unique landscape design that is responsive to methane gas movement and toxic soil conditions. SAGE worked with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and Pima County Waste Management to develop construction details which respond to these conditions.
