Yavapai-Apache Fee to Trust Transfer Project

SAGE has been contracted to manage and provide a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) for the transfer of fee lands to trust status for the Yavapai-Apache Nation. The Nation sought to expand its Reservation by converting 1,211 acres of fee-simple status lands to trust status to provide government protection of the lands. Planned uses for the lands include residential homes, commercial/retail, and agriculture for crop production. SAGE is currently assisting the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) with an updated and amended EA to resolve water resource and hazardous material issues. The Supplemental EA is to be finalized in 2004
