Mt. Lemmon Service Area Watershed Study
and Wastewater Management Plan

In response to continued development and the Aspen Fire of 2003, Pima County in cooperation with the Coronado National Forest is proposing to modify its current wastewater treatment facility or construct a new facility that will better serve the community of Summerhaven in the Santa Catalina Mountains. As a sub-consultant to the design engineering firm EEC, SAGE is developing an environmental overview of the entire Sabino Creek watershed, Mt. Lemmon, and portions of adjacent watersheds and offering guidance in regards to applicable environmental laws that will need to be addressed as the project moves forward.
 
SAGE has completed a description of the soils, geology, topography, climate, vegetation, and wildlife of the area and has initially assessed potential archeological and historic sites.
