County Natural Resources, Parks Recreation selected SAGE
to lead this development of the Picture Rocks District
Park. SAGE is assisting our client by flexibly
responding to the public needs and environmental
conditions and agilely adjusting the process to keep
this project moving productively forward. Our goal for all on-call projects is to quickly understand the
project, ask pertinent questions and develop a scope of
work that melds with the Agency's thoughts and needs.
Picture Rocks District Park involved working
with a ten-year-old project budget. We worked to adjust the
scope of work to meet the budget while still accomplishing key
project objectives. One solution included enlisting the
County Floodplain Management Division to assist with the
Hydrology Report and provide funding for that work
through separate budgets.
Picture Rocks District Park includes master planning,
environmental compliance, public involvement and
construction documents for Phase One improvements. SAGE
worked with Pima County and U.S. Fish and Wildlife to
fit the park features and habitat preservation together
in a manner that supports recreation and conservation.
SAGE coordinated ESA consultation through Section 7
compliance.
