Treat AvenueTucson, ArizonaSAGE is in the process of developing an environmental clearance for the proposed Treat Avenue Pedestrian Bridge and Walkway Enhancement Project for the City of Tucson. This project, sponsored in part by the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), involves the installation of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant ramps to an existing foot bridge at Arroyo Chico; relocation of the existing bridge stairs; bridge repair; installation of raised crosswalks with stamped asphalt with curb cuts for ADA access; installation of ADA curb cuts at all other roadway and alley crossings; and installation of sidewalks on the northern and southern ends of the existing Treat Avenue walkway to complete pedestrian connections to bus stops on Broadway Boulevard and to Robison Elementary and Howenstine Magnet High School which is located south of the neighborhood. Per City of Tucson and ADOT requirements, SAGE is completing a Biological review, Environmental Resource Report, a Preliminary Initial Site Assessment, and a Categorical Exclusion in support of the proposed project. |
