Bangs Residence

This project is a residential design for an established home in a foothills neighborhood of Tucson, Arizona. The design updates existing plants and hardscape materials and showcases the natural desert features of the site. Ground plane design and graceful curving walls lead to a serene entry courtyard and lush private patio spaces. Featured elements include enhanced desert vegetation in the public arrival spaces, and the use of water harvesting methods. A dramatic entry sequence features custom courtyard entry doors, an updated circular water feature, and artistic brick ground treatment. The enclosed private patio includes a Japanese soaking tub, oriental water feature, Asian inspired plantings, and a variety of soothing textures on the ground surfaces.
